What is the lifespan of a heat exchanger?

What is lifespan of a heat exchanger in your plant?

I believed a good brand/manufacturer of a plate heat exchanger and apply good maintenance will make it life last longer at least more than 10 years right?

How much it cost? My experience said it will taken 1/3 from initial cost of a new heat exchanger. To me it is acceptable since you have you use it for more than 10 years!
